Hey everybody I’m looking for a little help from anyone willing to offer it. I just moved out to Milwaukee from Rochester, MN. Back home I did a lot of wading the smaller streams for smallmouth and trout. My problem here is that I don’t know of any streams that I will be able to wade and that hold a decent population of smallies. I am by no means looking for anyone’s secret spots, I will be more than happy with just the name of any streams you may know. After all exploring and finding the best spots are half the fun! I don’t mind driving a couple of hours either in order to get there.

Thanks for the help everyone and if you’re ever heading to SE MN and looking for any fishing info/guidance I’d be glad to help out!

You answered your own question when you said “Milwaukee” The Milwaukee river has been under rehab for years, in the process SM have come back in a big way. Pretty much from West Bend to Lake Michigan. I would check with the local DNR to find the best sections for your combo of wading and smally’s. It’s a good place to start…..
