We always do good on plastics. White, yellow or silver mister twisters will get you walleyes and smallies. The last few years my dad has done very well on white and ice blue pearl paddletails. Take a light jig head and thread them on, pitch it out and use a slow retrieve. Rooster tails work good at times also. If the artificial bite is slow, thread a crawler on a small hook. It has been a few years since I have been down there, but we always use to do very good from the mouth of wedges creek downstream.

Friday was great fishing. Saturday was a wash out. only did a couple of hours, broke camp and went home. lots of walleye and smallies. no big toothy things but we weren’t really targeting them. stayed right on Lake Arbutus. i will go back to that area. walleye on 1/2 crawlers and jigs. mostly Mepps for the smallies.
