I’ve been on it about a half dozen times Coot.
Magnor gets a LOT of local pressure. It’s a good producer when people back off and the fish get a chance to grow but knowing the bulk of the shacks spotted are all looking for eaters, it gets “fished out” easily. There was a 3 year run that things were “okay” but last year the “smallish fish” was all you could hear about. People that reside on the lake mentioned that there are too many people for that size of a lake to be keeping numbers of fish.
I’ve never seen a real good tip-up bite there either. I’ve never seen a flag go!
I know of a couple decent spots on the lake for catching the fish but this lake needs a lot of CPR to bring it back. I figure, if one of the guys I know of that was there just to fill the bucket every time, has moved on because of poor results, maybe others will follow? It’d be a great lake to show CPR……………if everyone wasn’t buried in a shack!
Don’t get me wrong………I like eaters too but I know this lake can NOT withstand the harvest pressure it receives.
