    hey guys/gals My folks just booked a place on Upper Clam for a week in the middle of August. I know this is not prime time, but when I was a small kid we would always vacation on this lake, and I remember the weeds were everywhere and thick! If anybody has a pointer or two let me know, we are also looking for some input on a great steakhouse or dinner theater close by. Does the Upper lake stay clear enough to pull a few tubes behind the boat?

    We have a cabin on upper clam and they cut weeds all summer so in August the weeds should be at a minimum. The last couple of summers we have not had the weeds so bad. In regards to steaks there is a place just outside of Hertel called something like Backwoods that is great. Enjoy your time at the lake.

    looking for word on ice conditions on upper clam? Can you get out with an atv? landings ok yet?
