Does anybody have any recent reports from the Phillips Chain? I am going to give it a whirl tomorrow. Probably try either Duroy or Long for some panfish.

I was over there the other night, sorry I didn’t know or I could asked some of the locals.

What’s happening up Minocqua way? Is there much snow on the lakes? What are travel conditions like? After I leave the lake Friday I am headed for a guys weekend up at my buddies place on Swamsauger Lake. We usually set out some tip ups and sit around and have a few beers and grill on the lake and then retire to the cabin shortly after dark for cards. Some years we do pretty good on the walleyes. Some others all we catch are little snakes. It is always a good time regardless.

I been driving since the 1st. Most small lakes, but still pretty easy getting around. Make sure you know where any springs might be though as a friend of friend put his truck through the third time on a smaller lake to the north of here. I think they are just starting to drive on Tomahawk, but I would still be hesitant about getting too far from shore. I hear Trout has 8-12″ and I would assume that Tom is very similar. Travel should be pretty good for ‘biles and atv’s without a lot of slush, though there some out there.
