anyone fishing the Amery area with any luck? Planning on getting out this coming Sunday. Temps are supposed to be around 15 degrees. Hoping that maybe the perch are snapping on Bone?
    Thanks,

I fished big round on saturday, looking for bluegills but only found one, but did catch some nice perch. Wasnt fast and furious but if you wanted a meal you would of have gotten supper.

I fished big round on tuesday with my buddy and we had a really really slow bite too. I managed 8 tiny bluegills, after together we went through about 15 different lures. I’m assuming the cold temps shut down the fishing, as it was in the single digits that morning. Probably some of the smallest bluegills i have ever caught, I hope that is just because the big ones were not biting that day. Only positive thing was that I got to drive out on the ice for the first time this year, only took the s10 though.
Went to bone lake that same day and all we could manage was small fish as well, but alot better action. Did not catch a single keeper size fish the whole day though.

good to hear. My father and I will be going out tomorrow… i’m guessing either Bone for Perch or WhiteAsh for gills & crappies. I’ll let you know where we went & how we did.

How is the ice on the Amery area lakes? Can you drive on it or is it best to take the 4 wheeler.

I drove out on a lake near amery probably 2 weeks ago, so im sure they are all good now. And down here in the menomonie area, people are driving everywhere on the lakes, so im sure they have to be good up there.
