A good friend of mine, Jay Johnson, and myself did our annual fishing trip to Island Lake this past Sunday afternoon for a little spinner bait action for bass, pike and musky. Even though we didn’t catch a musky, the bass and pike gave us all the action we wanted. The day started slow but picked up in the afternoon and evening. We had a dodge a couple of showers but managed to still catch fish. We ended the day with about a dozen nice pike and several dandy bass in the 4 lb range! Here are just a couple of pics I managed to get with my cell phone! All in all a great day to be out on the water!
