I had a chance to do a cast and blast weekend with my father-in-law this past weekend, based out of his cabin on Spider Lake, near Hayward WI. Since it was the weekend of the full moon, I had high hopes, and they were realized! We nabbed a pair of 21″ walleyes, one under the full moon on a perch-colored husky jerk casting the shallows, and one under full sun on Sunday afternoon, on a tube jig just off a main drop off to the lake basin. Topped it off with a nice grouse late Sunday afternoon. Hopefully the pics will post. Enjoy.

Casting and blasting, ain’t it great!!! Did just the same a couple of weeks ago with my brother. We only saw one muskie in three days of superb weather for the pursuist, but not the pursued. With temps approaching, if not in the 80’s all three days, we had kind of tough time of it. I just got my digital scout and have been taking some pictures with the Olympus that came with it here the last couple of days and hope to be able to show the same quality as in your pics. What kind of camera? In fact I am going to see if I can post one of my pics from Squirrel Lake near Minocqua where we caught a couple of nice fish (no pics) and could have taken all of the 10″ers we would have wanted if we had downsized. Well here goes and once again great pics!!!
