On April 17, I will be presenting a seminar entitled “Patterns for Lake Wissota Walleyes through the Seasons” at Markquart Chevrolet, on Bus. Hwy 53 between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls, WI. The program will start at 6:30 and run until we’re tired of talking fishing!
This seminar is the second in a series of three walleye talks that are being sponsored by Markquart Chevrolet, in conjunction with the formation of the Western Wisconsin Walleye Anglers Association (WWWAA). We will spend a small part of the evening discussing our organization, its goals and our planned activities for the year. Those include the first annual Lake Wissota Open Walleye Tournament, to be held on June 21.
It’s hard to have a walleye seminar without tackle. Much like last month, I’ll have all my Wissota-specific tackle on hand, so please feel free to dig through my tackle boxes to see exactly what I’m using out on our backyard gem. Also, we will have a bunch of great walleye tackle to give away, courtesy of Markquart Chevrolet and Everts Resort.
We’ve heard the cries for some more tasty treats at the seminars, and we will respond! Kevin Krumenauer of Absolute Powersports will be on hand to demonstrate his new line of Traeger Grills…Kevin will be slow grilling a couple of tenderloins all day next Thursday so that we can all enjoy a hot sandwich during the presentation.
These meetings and seminars are free and open to the public. We had a great IDO turnout for the last walleye seminar, and I hope to see many of you guys again on Thursday!
