Holiday fishing on the Puck , we were using jigging rapalas in perch color and blue color in 2 inch lenght. Got out at daylight and got set up in our areas . Turned on the light and heater and we were ready for the bite and to see if after 5 inches of snow yesterday changed the bite any with barometer rising this mourning. It did not take too long to find out what was going to happen ,Roger pulled a 17 incher out at daylight and we were on our way to fast bite mourning. Within 10 minutes we caught 5 more under sized fish and 1 more keeper. Bouncing the bottom and holding about 5 inches off the bottom were producing well for me , I would jig with 1 pole and let the other rap just sit and I ended up with a Doubler what a time getting them both in with one of them 17 inces and the other just shy of 15 inch. We tipped our jigs with just the head of the minnow and had good results. Here is a pic. of the 2 I hept for Supper for new years eve. Oh ya We at the Bennetts ranch hope everyone had a great christmas and will have a great NEWS YEAR AND GO BLESS.
