Going to fish Holcombe for the first time this coming weekend but I will be fishing there more in the future (new cabin – not-mine). Wondering about mainly walleyes, cats, and crappies (in that order). Techniques, spots, and/or any helpful information would be greatly appreciated. Any decent taverns to boat to or good bait shops? I’ll take anything anyone is willing to share. Thanks ———————————–Pax

Pax, check out Paridise shore resort when you get there.

Hi Pax, I’ve only fished it a few time and we mostly trolled. That lake does have some large toothy critters in it so you may want to throw some musky baits also. A great source of information can be had if you stop in Crazy D bait store by Elk Mound just a mile or so off of highway 29. If you have never been there it is worth the stop for sure. They make the nicest bucktail spinners you have ever seen and has the largest supply of musky baits around. Not only that but he guides on Holcome. Steve

Thanks guys! I’m leaving tomorrow morn. I was planning on trolling for the big toothys if we do a little bar hopping by boat.
