Are bluegills legal to use on the wisconsin river?

I’ll be on the river for the weekend. Any thoughts on where to go feet of water or any other tips.

Would be happy with walleye’s, smallies and will be trying for cats at night. Going out of Arena boat landing.

Thanks. any help would be great

bluegills are legal to use as bait but you have to count them as part of your daily bag limit. Example: You can’t catch 10 bluegills for bait and use them and then go out and catch a limit of 25 gills.

AS of now the Arena boat landing is out!! they poured the first slab and pushed it in but for some reason they have’nt poured and completed the launch (this is as of Monday). I don’t know what kind of boat you have but the river is very low and navigation can be a pain in the ass. Don’t let me scare of off the river. the good thing is that the river is mostly sand and won’t dammage you motor. If I were you I would launch at Spring Green and go up. For Flatheads, Fish off the sand bars at night where there is a deep hole or run nearby, deep water out there right now is 7 to 8 feet ave depth is 1 to 3 feet
