Looking for suggestions for a body of water in Northern Wisconsin to take the family for a long weekend of fishing for walleyes, bass or panfish. I live in the Lacrosse area & would drive 3 to 4 hours to give the kids a chance to catch some fish & relax. Thanks for the advice!

consider the Siren WI area, there is a great deal of good fishing for all of the above especially bass and pans, and we up here can use all the tourist dollars we can get. Many lakes within 10-15 minute drive and many resort options. Clam lake is a great all around fishery, kids could really put the pans in the boat, any more questions just ask

Do not over look the Minoqua area. The leaves have already started to change and with the water temps dropping the water skiers are not out as much. Minoqua lake has some decent largemouth and Tomohawk has smallies and walleyes. There are also a bunch of smaller lakes that are within an hour. I make a trip up every year not just for the fishing but there is a ton of stuff to do. If you are headed that way, I might be able to help you with some bass spots. Drop me an email if you need them [email protected]

    Have fun.

I am later than WI bassboy, but if you are coming to Minocqua, let me know. Bassboy is right, the color has not peaked yet and there are plenty places to stay and fish. You might even get to see some early snow!!!
