Was joined by my son and his buddy for a few hours this morning, and lots of smiles we had. Between the fish, tangles, snags, and snacking, there was never a dull moment. These 10 year olds and the fish that pitched in kept me plenty busy. All in all, we boated about 2 dozen fish, and lost at least as many. Approx 15 eyes, with one at 14 inches, and a few 19 inchers at the top. Mixed bag of bass, up to 17 inches or so. Jig/minnow or leech both produced. I was just getting warmed up, when the two reminded me that I promised them lunch at George Webbs….so off the water we went at noon, with the fish still very cooperative.. Oh well, there will be more fish to be had some other time….not sure what they enjoyed the most, the fishing or the burgers, but as for me, a very satisfying day. (Except fir that 20 inch limit for eyes on laBelle )
