I fished Kentuck lake(just west of Eagle River) for a few hours tonight for Muskies . We had four follows, one fish looked to be in the 45-46″ class. Water temp was 60 and they were a little tentative. May flies were poppin and I wished I would have brought a fly rod as the Smallies were hammerin em!

Tom :
That whole deal sounds like a lot of fun. If you ever do that again, let me know a couple of days in advance and I would love to drag my boat over or drive over and let’er rip. Got a fly rod and five of them pool cues. Fished Little Lake Tomahawk for my first trip after the muskies. It was maybe a little to early to try for them after dark, but when its the only time you can fish… A good friend of mine has been having a ball with them on topwaters last weekend. One hooked and landed by his wife (36″) and several over 40″ at the boat or striking behind the topwater.
Good fishin’!!!

My best nights are Monday and Tuesday. Right now I have a party (golf outing for Children’s Miracle Network) on June 30. My parents are coming up the weekend before that and this upcoming Monday I have a staff training session on wine service. There are a couple other lakes over there that I would like to try. Let’s stay in touch!!!

Holy Hannah!!! Talk about versatility and well roundedness! You’re going a direction I would have NEVER connected to you! And………….I don’t mean that insultingly………it’s just uncommon enough that I’m taken surprise by it! Believe me……………it’s I’m just a bit
So……..any plans to showcase those pipes at the GTG this year?

Are you singing bass, baritone or tenor? When I was younger, I played more than one instrument, sang in the school choir and church choir and all those little groups associated with chorus. I had a band in the Club tonite that is seven pieces and some of them play backup in Joe Bucher’s blues band. I think they said they were going down to Summerfest in a couple of weeks. I sure would like to get to Joe’s blues festival in Sugar Camp in August some time. They asked if I wanted to practice the trumpet again and maybe tag a long, but with this job, it will take a long time to have any lip power for that old trumpet. Just as easy to sling big plugs for green toothy critters!!!
Muskie Ben, oops I forgot, not lakelink!!!

June 17, 2003 at 4:38 am #268757I’m blessed with a wide range, 2nd Bass to Tenor. Between singing engagements and Guiding I am starting to fill the summer Calendar pretty well.
What club do you manage again Mark? I may take the wife for an overnight your way and sing a song or two for you. I also play trumpet a little.June 28, 2003 at 3:46 am #269516Tom:
Thank you for your sincere words in the other post. I keep waiting for Geno and Kurt to send me the monster of all muskies. They seem to be testing my patience though. I did however have a fish porpoise next to my boat on Minocqua the other night and it might not have been a 50 inch fish, but the girth was very impressive and I might even bet that I was looking at a 30# fish though. Just did not want to look at any bait put close to it either. Oh well I know the door to knock at now.

Is it time??? I have finished my season and now have some free time to kill. I have finally gotten out and fished over the last two weeks!!! Get back to me and maybe there is a time we could meet and and fish a lake that interests me over in that neck of the woods.
