Lake Menomin

Had to go out this morning and give it a try and that’s about all I did. I managed to loose a couple of fish and catch a couple of Northerns. No perch,crappies,gills or eyes? They must be hiding but the couple I lost might just have been them. They were real shallow (if it was eyes) on the north end of the lake. I tried just about everywhere out there today and the only fish I caught were also in 6 feet of water or less. Man did it get windy. I will start launching in Butchs Bay from now on, I had a tough time loading back up with the waves slaming into the side of the boat. A good samaritan fisherman gave me a hand and I ended up wet to my uh a waist. Water temp cold!! 53-55 degrees is what I found today.Oh well the boat ran great for the first time back on the water and I look forward to catching some eaters the next trip out. Steve
