It has been a while since I fished mead. Has several bass club tournaments on mead. For the opener I would go to the right from the landing. Go up to the bridge and fish the shallows on either side of the bridge. They should be warmed up and hold fish. If the bridge area doesn’t work, go back to the landing and go to the left from the landing to the far end of the lake. Cat tails around Island and north west corner of lake are good for bass. If fish are not in the shallows, try the deep water in the narrows, it holds some good bass. Let me know how you did. Also, look out for the muskies, they live in the area around the bridge. Also caught a musky off the dock near the boat landing on a white spinner bait.
