Yellow river

This spot has been good for muskies. I was there during the summer with my friends at there land. Does that river freeze or can you still get a boat on there. Have you fished there recently?

I fish the Yellow in the summer. Given the current and backwater areas I don’t think you’d do well with a boat or walking around. You’d lose quality ice in the current areas and be unable to traverse the frozen backwaters by boat. I think it’d be a tough area to get around in. If you could get to one of the backwater pools it’s possible you could find some good panfish and pike action. I’ve never really thought about trying Big or Little Yellow from the ice. I think I’d be tempted to stay with the lakes though. Just my guess.
