OK for me. Seems like the last 2 years, I couldn’t find enough decent ‘gills to put together a meal. Not so the case this year. ‘Gills up the whazoo and I’m having one hell of a time getting the northerns. Been out 5 times now – 3 different lakes/ponds. Ice is thick 4-5 inches but watch out for thin spots. Something didn’t look right the other day so I popped a hole and low and behold – about 1 inch. Turned around and got back on the good ice and tossed my underwear in the weeds.————-Pax

    LMAO!

Now that’s funny. Thanks for the post Pax… I’ll be smiling over that one for some time.

I hear ya Pax. I was crossing a far northern lake years ago when suddenly the guy walking a few yards ahead of me had one leg break through right up to the crotch. He was 50# lighter than me so now what? I’ll bet there was some yellow ice in my tracks as I tip toed back the way I came. By the way, he crawled back too.
