We have 3 to 6 inches of ice on the Iron River area inland lakes. The biggest surprise though is that Chequamegon bay is frozen almost completely over and it wouldnt surprise me to see guys out there fishing this weekend. This is the earliest I can remember that it has frozen. I am mired in work and havent wet a line yet but will get a good taste working at the St Paul Ice Show this weekend.
