Well I am still on the water everyday ,it is just that since my last report the fishing has been slow. The pike bite that had been going strong has dropped off and I have not been able to locate active fish. The bays are iced up and if we get the cooler weather next week we should be able to hit the ice by Thanksgiving.

After a couple days of taking care of off the water business I was able to spend the day on the water. The old saying of thats why they call it fishing and not catching sure held true today. The only thing I managed was a couple of short eyes out of the main river channel. It looks like there will be a few more days left before ice up so get out after em.
