    last one.

The fish were caught from few days vacation in late sept. and another in mid oct.
The lakes we fished were Red Cedar, Owen, Long, Round, Lac Court Oreilles, Grindstone and Wissota. Not all of the lakes produced 4 lb+ fish on this trip but I have caught them from each of these lakes this year. All C& R of course.

WAYYYYY COOOL PICS!!!!! Those are some AWESOME catches!!! I was wondering if any of those pics came from Long. What lake did the muskie show?

Sweet post! That’s the best collection of smallie pics I’ve seen this year! Keep at it!

Stillakid2 – recognizing from the scenery in the background pics 1, 2 & 4 of me were from Long Lake,

the musky was from Round and was about 40″, on the trip I also broke one off on grindstone that was around 30-32″, and had a bigger one follow on LCO maybe around 45″ – but they were all unintentional while fishing for bass.

Cool! I couldn’t tell for sure but I was thinking in my head that a couple backgrounds looked familiar! That lake’s got some dandies in it! I’ve had numerous family members catch some 19″+ smallies there! I’m hoping to get some more time up that way next year………..we’ll see……….got lots and lots on the horizon.

Thanks again for sharing the pics! It’s ALMOST as good as being there!

Superfluke, awesome job! Could you tell us what method you used to get those results? It’d be much appreciated. Thanks, and again congrats!!

    mwchiefs –

you will see above that I fished several different lakes, some of which are similar in clarity, habitat etc. and some of which were significantly different, and we generally used multiple presentations for each lake. So we used a number of different methods I will try to list them with a slight bit of context as to where they were used.

    here goes

–clear water flats/drops on the edge of flats–
    swimming 5″ grubs(kalins),
3/4 oz painted double willow spinnerbaits(ledgebuster),
suspending jerkbaits worked rapidly (rogues, yo zuri twitch n minnow)

–sloping shoreline with downed wood –
    weightless plastics (senkos etc.)
bitsy bug jig & swimmin chunk trailer
    flippin tube

    –docks
    tubes w light heads
    weightless plastic

    –deeper structure / weed edges
heavier tubes and other weighted plastic combinations

Thanks for the info! Being a smallie fanatic myself, I’m always looking for better ways to boat more and bigger fish……
