Well I guess if I get out Jigging with Don enough maybe something will wear off and I’ll start jigging better. We went out around 11:00-11:30 AM today and fished untll about 5:00. We caught a few pretty quick then things died off and gave us a chance to try up the Red Cedar. All we did was have a couple of hanger ons. Just weight at the end of the line and not the big slam like we expected at this time of the year. We then tried back in the lake and found some smaller perch which I could even catch . After giving that area a thorough going over we headed to the south end of the lake where Don caught the best fish of the evening and a crappie just for good measure. A couple of those fish followed me home for a fish fry tomorrow night. Yummy Thanks Don for the lessons and good luck on Mille Lacs tomorrow night. Steve

Thanks for the pictures and spending the day in the boat. It took us all day but I think we finally put a pattern together. Good luck if you get out on Sat.

I got out in the morning Sunday, what a great day to be outdoors. The best action on the lake by far was provided by numerous pike ranging from 2 to 6 lbs. Deep water was the key, I spent the of time in 20ft of water. The combination that was working well was a black Knuckleball jig tipped with medium sized fatheads. Now is the time to get in on some great pike fishing!
see ya on the water, Don

Remember that spot I showed you, where I kept getting bit off. Those darn pike wouldn’t leave those Knuckle Ball jig heads alone. It’s time to put on a leader and go get them. I’ve got some really nice Salmo baits for large fish. Lets go get us some 20 pounders. You ever fish Eau Galle. Steve
