I’m going to be fishing for Salmon in Door County out of Bailey’s Harbor this weekend and would appreciate input from anyone who’s been up there lately.
    Thanks, Zim ([email protected])

I was up there end of July, first part of august. Not chasing salmon though, walleyes. A couple of evenings I went down to the landing in Sturgeon Bay (I believe it is called Sawyer Park) and the guys were bringing in some nice salmon & plenty of them. Sorry I don’t know anymore than that. By the way, the walleye fishing in the lower bay was great when I was there.

    Zim,
The info I have is now almost 3 weeks old as I was there end of July – first of August. The fish I was getting were nice. Average size was about 24″ with quite a few around 27″. I was pulling crawler harnesses w/ #7 blades, slow. I was fishing the Kidney Island/Bay Beach area in 6′ to 8′ of water. Get a good map if you are going to give this a try. There is a lot of shallow water around this area. If you go out past grassy island there is a deeper cut that will take you back into the area I am talking abouut.
