Gave Menomin a try yesterday. Boy it’s already looking like paint. Oh well it was close to
home and I got five more hours on the boat. Nine more hours of breakin left.
Anyway 3 way rigs trolled slow around shoreline in 7 or 8 feet of water caught smallmouth
and rockbass. Tried pulling floating raps close to shore with planer boards and
caught a northern. Just before leaving tried trolling at 100 feet back at 4 mph and had several
on but they didn’t stay hooked. Will try some those faster speeds trolling again soon.
So if nothing really seems to be biting speed up maybe it will help. Steve
