Went up to Wapogassett after work yesterday (Thursday) and when we got to the Sunrise landing, there were decent sized bluegills and crappies all washed up on shore! Anyone heard what’s going on there?
Only had a couple hours to fish so we trolled a weed patch with 1/16 oz. black/green tube jigs on ultralights. Ended up with 5 gills, 2 big crappies, 2 northern, and 2 walleye just over 15″. Overall the bite was pretty light. Baby gills were feeding on the surface like crazy! We left them alone though.
Really curious to know what killed all those panfish at the landing though! Anyone hearing of anything?
