    The walleye fishing has been fantastic on the shallower lakes for the past 10 days. Lost Land, Spider and Namekagon. The fish have been in the weeds mainly feeding on bluegills. Bite has been good all day. Also landed 5 muskies on spider today. Herb http://www.anglingadv.com

    The fish were caught on the famed jig and minnow 1/8oz in weeds from 6-10 ft. The fish have been chasing schools of bluegill. Where ever they broke the surface we motored over and caught walleyes. Herb

    How big are the gills that are being chased? I am not surprised by the incident, but am interested about the size that the walleyes are chasing?

    The gills were any where from 1.5″-3″ . It was the same on LL today it was calm this morning and they were breaking all over the lake. Herb

    The fishing is still very good and weed growth is still about 2 + weeks behind. Smallmouth are still spawning on the bigger lakes and the walleye fishing has been very good in the weeds. Herb
