Well our family made our annual trip for a week of Wisconsin fishing last week. We had a great time but still did have the fishing success on our second visit to Big Yellow Lake that we had grown accustomed to at our old lake. We stayed at Ike Walton Lodge and loved the stay. This was our second year here and last year was a total bust fishing wise. We did better this year–we did get some huge gills and a few crappies, perch and rock bass. I got a baby smallie and a couple green carp. The only walleye we landed was by my wife and it was short–but still her first eye! We did manage enough panfish for a fish fry Friday night–a huge step up from last year.
Was glad the storms hit so they lifted the burn ban–would not have been right to go up north and not get a couple nights around the fire!
