We are heading up to Eagle River area for a weeks vacation. Staying at a reort on Anvil. Would love some insight as to which lakes to hit this time of year, and what presentation to use? Not particular on species targetted….whatever seems to be biting will do. Also, looking for a decent guide for a day trip as well.

When are you heading up for that week??? There are a couple of webpages to try to help you get feel for what is going on. Lake-link.com has threads for all of the lakes in that area as well as the Vilas County Lakes thread, which is the most popular. Also fishininfo.com has an Eagle River thread. Several guides are available, I will pm you to let you know who I would steer you to. Are you staying at the campground or a resort. The resort may have a guides list to get you started as well.
