Went to the Lake for a couple of hours Wed’s evening, brother needed some practice at catching Bass. We definitely got it they where hitting on anything that we threw. Brother used a tube the entire time to get the feel of it. He was nailing them left and right. Largest was 17 1/2 inches. Most where in the 14 range. I used, spinners, slugo’s, poppers, tube, chatter bait, and pork and was getting hits on all of them. great time, caught fish about every other cast. Next week will be going for pannies. Water level was pretty low, had to raise the trolling motor to get into the Lake.

Fished it last night for pannies and we filled up, water level is another 6 or 7 inches down from last time. Finished up the evening hitting bass and they where doing pretty good again. Just do not like the water level. All in all it was a fun night.

Never been on Squaw… looking for a lake in the area to do some recreational boating (pulling a tube, maybe skiing) as well as fishing. What’s the water quality like and are there any places to beach or dock a boat for some ‘shore time’?

I would not do either on Squaw, it is green, has no beaching area. The closes area for that would be Balsam or the St Croix River.
