    SLACK:

Get shallow to start with and cast smaller baits. Many bass, panfish and walleye guys have been and will be catching muskies on their baits. You can try to sight fish them as many of them will be shallow as well. Baits to try: small mepps bucktails, baby raiders, jigs with 4″-6″ redtails, #18 rapalas, jigs with reaper tails or salamanders, etc. Good luck, CPR and let ’em go!!!

Wasn’t sure if I would get to go, but did manage to get out on Sunday a.m. We fished the Manitowish Chain and spent our couple of hours very shallow and saw 6 fish in that time. A freind might have had one of them hooked, but that was as close as we got.

Fished tonite on another body of water. Fly fished first for pannies and some largies. Later tried for muskie, with no success on a bucktail. On one of our larger lakes and the main lake is almost 70*, which is two weeks faster than I remember in the 12 years that I have lived here.
