Please welcome Jeff Krisik (Krisco) to In-DepthAngling’s Field Staff.
Jeff is an avid Western Wisconsin lake and river fisherman devoting most of his time to the Chippewa River and Lake Wissota. We’re all looking forward to your knowledge, passion and reports for fishing and hunting in Wisconsin forums!
More about Jeff, in his own words… ” I am 30 years old. I live in Chippewa Falls, WI and work as a Sheriff’s Deputy for Pepin County. I have been fishing since I was 5 years old. My uncles got me into fishing and I’ve never looked back. I grew up biking to the Chippewa River in the Durand/Meridean area. I fished for anything I could. I got my first boat when I was 16. I now fish probably on an average of 150 days a year. I am very familiar with the Chippewa River from the Jim Falls area all the way down to the Mississippi, knowing the area in Durand the best. I’ve also started expanding and fishing many area lakes. I am a multi-species fisherman, but mainly target walleye and bass. I am newer to the whole ice fishing scene, but am working hard on learning water and strategies for that.
I also am very big into bow hunting and small game hunting. I have shared many stories and different things that I have found to work for me already on this site. My family is big into game management and into hunter’s safety. My fiancé and I are going to be teaching hunter’s education this next year.
I found the In-DepthAngling website awhile back and instantly was welcomed with open arms. I have met many great people and have helped out with the ARM event and loved every minute of it. I have read reports and used that info to make me and others that I fish with better. I have also shared many of my experiences and knowledge of the waters I fish with others to better their experiences. I have also shared the knowledge and experience I have in bow hunting and turkey hunting with others. I have gotten a couple of PM’s saying how it was nice to see what we have done with QDM and how can they get started.
I am just hoping I can get the opportunity to pass on what knowledge I have to the people on this site, like everyone else has done for me”
Welcome Jeff! I’m sure many of our members will be very interested in your reports in the hunting and fishing forums!
