Opener Predications for LM and SM

    I saw a post for the walleyes, wondering what everyone’s thoughts are for the bass, the real fish

    I will be up by Siren and an thinking (we will see tomorrow) that they fish will be close to staging if no in the beginning stages of spawning.
    My lure choices if this is the case will be plastic worms, tubes, jerk bait, and traps.
    If they are still early prespawn I probably will go more with the cranks and jerk baits.

    What are you thoughts?

    It has been way to long since I’ve been out and now only two days.

    We caught 15 smallies on the Croix last weekend, by accident of course. We were pitching plastics and if you were shallow and in the wind, you got nailed!

    They should be staging again by Sunday. The cold weather these past few days will push them back deeper again til the temps are constant again.
