With the heatwave coming on Saturday, and the easterly wind, how favourable would it be to hit Milwaukee or its environs for some salmon/trout fishing? Anyone have any advice?

    Thanks

Near shore Marine forcast calls for 3-6 ft waves for Saturday. Not posted for Sunday yet. You can always troll in the harbor at McKinley marine. the word, though, is don’t eat any fish from the harbor, if they are resident fish they glow in the dark. Spoons seem to be outdoing cranks. Ladder back in blues and greens.

Last weekend I was on the wall fishing for browns. Lots of folks fishing/trolling the MKE river and getting a lot of fish. If the weather on the lake is bad head to the river. It might be tougher with all the runoff but the fish should still be there. If I didn’t have my son’s bday party I would be on the wall fishing again.

A lot of guys use a boat ramp of National ave. I don’t know the directions to it though. I will look for the name for you.

Here are some directions I found. Don’t know the name of the place but good luck. My kid is now sick so hopefully I can get out on Sat from the wall for a while.

    Good luck.

If coming from Milwaukee take 94 south towards Chicago and exit on National Avenue. Take National (east) until it ends. When it ends take a left (north) and you cant miss the launch. There is a big brown sign calling out the launch. Do same thing if you are coming from the south towards Milwaukee.
