If you were to pick a vacation spot in northern Wisconsin to take your family fishing for walleyes, bass & panfish where would you choose?

Sayner is were I would choose, Star lake is a beautifull lake, tons of national and state camping to choose from in this area, more lakes then you could ever hope to dump your boat into, quality musky, walleye and bass, along with pans. Activities closs by in Eagle River or Minocqua if Ma wants to shop or the weather is crummy, plus lots of resorts if you want a cold one and a hot meal to end your day, what more could you ask for?

I would say Lake Chippewa Campground by Hayward. http://www.lakechip.com/about.htm
The Chippewa Flowage is loaded with eyes, bass and some nice crappie action too. There’s also big muskies as well, plus nice swimming. We went there last year and rented one of there 5th wheel campers…it was a good time. And when we got bored, we made the 20 minute drive to Hayward…the kids loved the candy store! Check out there website and take a tour!

lunker, greetings from an Ettrick boy just over the hill from RKD. try the Mystic Moose on Moose Lake. We stayed there last year over Labor Day. has all the species you want to chase and great cabins. caught a bonus 40″ ‘ski while bass fishing.

Thanks for the replies. This may be a difficult decision with these quality places to choose from. Lunker

If you want more detailed info on that area (Sayner/Star Lake) , restaurants, fun things to do for the family, etc. drop me a PM and I’ll hook you up.
