    I would share mine…but I don’t have any…I do have a bunch of other peoples secret spots…

But that wouldn’t be right…would it?

We normally hit the Croix by Bayport for first ice…but being it’s a river…the lakes have better ice well before the river.

Good Luck…Post some pictures when you start picking them up…I would like to know YOUR secret spot…too…

I wont say were on the lake but Red Cedar has good first ice eyes. Fish all night long, and dont be afraid to fish shallow…

If I had some secret walleye spots I would share. Truth is I dont have any. I’m not a big walleye fisherman, much more of a northern, bass guy. I have heard Red Cedar to be a great walleye lake. Where is that exactly located?

Go to any lake that has walleyes and find weeds in 6 feet of water. The greener the better. fish 7 inches below the hole. Like taking candy away from a baby.

Oh and don’t be afraid to use the biggest freakin shiners you can find. I am amped for this ice season as I figured out a pattern last year that was so much fun I wanted to fish every single night.

Stark I will have to talk to you about that. Maybe we can hit that up on early ice if you know the lake somewhat well. Wisker I’m not real knowledable on walleye through the ice, but this tactic of fishing right below the ice, quite a ways off the bottom, and with big minnows sounds untraditional to me? Sounds like how I northern and bass fish. Is this just a good tactice for eary ice.

I am fishing in 6 feet of water. If the eyes are feeding shallow which they do every night about 6 oclock. You may find some of these.
