Half Moon (Polk County)

    I got a last minute invitation to head up and fish this little lake with some friends. Any reports or general info? Bass? Wally’s? Panfish? Northern?

    I fished Half Moon once earlier this summer. Boated quite a few bass (nothing huge) and decent size bluegills. Primarily fished the south end. No walleyes on that trip. I think the lake is a better hardwater producer of eye’s. Good luck.

    just a quick note on Half Moon. I love that lake. We found some absolute slob bluegills in 10 f.o.w. over weedbeds. Kept 8 or 9 for a shorelunch. Lots of LM bass. Nothing huge. One pretty nice pike in about 6 hrs of fishing. The wind really had them biting. No walleye.
