I’m going to be fishing Moose all weekend. I was over on the Turtle Flambeau last week and temps were still running as high as 67 degrees. We caught fish in 10 ft over stumps. They weren’t jumping in the boat. I have heard that the crappie and perch fishing is starting to get good.

heading up that way myself, have a place in Northwoods Beach. Might want to try http://www.pastikas.com/ for the lake reports. Can not get my boat into Grindstone, had to walk it off the trailer and walk it out to deep water just to get into the lake. Landing is deep enough, but it is only about a foot deep 20 feet out. . Brothered tried the Chip and the only place he could get in was by the damn.

Water temp in some of the clearer lakes (around 1000 acres) has been in the low 70’s on the surface. Lot’s of active northerns and bass. People are catching a lot of crappies. Walleyes are slow. Good luck.

well was up to wisconsin again this weekend for the last time, took out the dock and brought the boat home, its Mille Lacs or bust from here on out!

stabbed a nice 44″ muskie on LCO Saturday morning on a 10″ jake in the rain and then my partner nailed an 37″ on a jackpot. caught about 15 eyes most were little 12″ or less caught 3 that were over 15″. had a mix of about 6 smallies in there too, 17″ was the largest

all in all not a bad weekend.

now its duck, bucks and monster eyes and ski in SOTA

Sounds like a pretty good outing on the water. Sunday I was on the upper St. Croix river (north of Grantsburg) and managed to eek out 11 smallies with 15″ being the largest. Yellow Lake has been slow for Muskies but walleyes have picked up a little bit lately. Managing a couple of eaters about every other time out in the evenings. Trolling has been the ticket however a couple eyes have come on small sucker minnows. I’m going to fight the urge to put the boat away for a few more weeks but the ducks and bucks are definitely demanding attention. As the saying goes, so much to do, so little time.
