I havent fished these lakes but gilmore is just west of them and is a pretty good fishery. I usally do pretty good on crappies there. Nothing to big but fun. I have caught them along the cabbage weeds on the south side of the lake

Lake 26 has a nice long main point. Beware of the 4 foot muskies.

I used to fish this lake back when I was a teenager. I had one heck of a battle with a huge one. Man I still remember fighting that fish. What a brute. I could not tell you how long she was??? I saw it multiple times. I just know that it was and still is the biggest freshwater fish I have ever fought . Needless to say I never boated that fish , but it left a lifetime of memories for this boy !

Ask me in a year. I’m learning Trego and the upper stretches of the river now.

Thanks Wisk. Appreciate the heads up. I’m also really hoping the topwater is good this summer. From what I have heard there are good populations of both small and large mouth but I don’t know the ratio between the two yet. Please enlighted me if you know.
