Nuggett Lake

Anyone been out to Nuggett yet? Better yet, is anything bitting?

Nugget is about twenty minutes from my house and I used to fish it weekly, but after talking to the park ranger down their I finally lost hope. It’s a great #’s lake for bass, but the chance of catching legals is difficult. He said they shocked the lake a few years back and found that 1 out of 100 bass were of legal size. When I fish it I have found that I have a legal about every 50 fish. However, you can get into some big panfish when you can find them. I was down their on May 30 and caught some big male gills that were on the beds. Walleye fishing can be ok too but I never fish them unless they bite on accident.
