Fished this Wisconsin River backwater today and FINALLY, I was able to catch bass in the slop. A white moss mouse produced numerous bass sliding it over weeds. Spinnerbaits in this backwater just don’t seem to produce but some others have had success flipping and pitching the wood. Still alot of bluegills to be caught but the size seems to be running smaller lately. Alot of crappies are also cruising in this backwater. But, the best part about Woodman Lake is….no jet skis and no wake making pleasure boats. The lake is trolling motor only.
