I am looking for someone who knows about this lake just east of Big Arbor Vitae Lake in Vilas County. It is supposed to be a brook trout lake. I would like to know if it is fishable from shore. I know you can’t get a large boat in there. Any input appreciated.

If you have waders it might be worth a try, but after the landing it is pretty much boggy as a shoreline. In my mind that indicates too soft a bottom to wade or even too big a dropoff. Another interesting tactic might be to use a float tube. I used to run the Lab there every now and then, but never fished it. Looks like a great canoe lake.

Thanks for the response. Yes, what you have stated was kind of my impression from just driving my truck down the access and looking at the lake. I had the float tube idea also, been looking to buy one, now I have a reason
