    The First Somerset Youth Athletics Association Ice Fishing Contest, Feb 26th will be held on Bass Lake in St Croix County, WI. Registration 9-11:30, Adults $30 a hole 15 and younger $15. Reg is at North Landing. Holes drilled by Tournament Officials. $24,000 worth of prizes for top 50. Five biggest fish will be entered into a drawing for a 2005 Chevy Silverado.     I will be there! My buddy has been prefishing it…NOT looking good. He has fished shallow deep everything inbetween and NOTHING . So who knows what will happen. I got the new FL-18 and have to devirginize it so anybody else planning on going to the tourney?

    Actually the next day…i wanted to go fishing so went to scheels and it was a done deal..tonight i am going to menomin and hopefully catching a few…can’t wait to use the new vex….catch any fish using yours yet?

    No, Halfmoon was preety dead, but I let my buddy giver a try and he got a crappie. I hope this weekend proves the fish will be acting up.

    How did everybody do? I got skunked. Two of my buddies had kids that took home a prize. One $50 cash, and the other took the 3rd place prize of an electric scooter home. Had a great time, and am looking forward to next years tourney already!

    Had 1,600 register. 350 in the youth division. top fish where Northerns ranging from 2.06 to 2.27 lbs. Mark Lange from New Richmond won the drawing for the Silverado pickup.

    I am planning to fish bass lake for the first time tomorrow (saturday 3/5/05). Any advice? Where is the landing?
