2005 Wisconsin Walleye Opener???

    Does the 2005 Wisconsin Walleye Season open on SUNDAY, May 1, 2005 this year? Is it really on SUNDAY, rather than Saturday?

    Walleye opener for Wisconsin 2005 is “the first Saturday in May” May 7th.

    I was asked this same question yesterday. I just went out to the WI DNR site and it certainly looks like the date is May 1st. (For walleye) Can anyone clear this up?

    I was just on the website and it says that Walleye open the first Saturday of May.

    OK, I see where I got confused. The regulation book I looked at on-line there is 2004-2005. Looks like it needs to get updated to 2005-2006. May 1 was last years opener.
