Well, I spent last Thursday and Tuesday evening out on the lake and I’m still finding fish in some traditional areas but not until the sun goes down. I had one smallie go 18.5″ that fought harder than any smallie I’ve fought all year so that was fun! So far, eyes and smallies are all I’m getting a hook into. No strikes from the musky/northerns though. Daylight hours for me have been slow.
During the day I’ve been marking fish out deeper, particularly off points but crankin’ at their depth isn’t getting me anything to talk about. There are some presentations that I didn’t try…….. like slow falling plastics…… cuz deep down, all I wanted to find was a muskie.
I’m starting to see why muskie guys don’t report much!
