Good ol’ rain!

This bit of rain should help out the Mississippi as well as inland lakes and rivers in WI and MN. Betcha the farmers are happy as well.

Whats wporks best for you, fishin before, during or after a rain?

I know what didn’t work this morning while it was raining. Had a preplanned trip today with a fairly new friend on pool 2. Really wanted him to catch a nice eye but we got an old fashioned skunking instead. We tried trolling the rip rap with no luck and then anchored in front of a small but good quality wing dam. Pitching spin rigs tipped with fat head to the top of the dam and letting it flutter down to the base with no luck.We both got soaked and chilled to the bone, called it quits early.

I was happy to see the rain. The Chipp looks like a creek down here.

I really like to fish right after the rain on the Chipp. Everywere else before. I don’t know why it is just the way it works too.

I had same thing planned. Was gonna do a little smallie fishin this mornin on the Chip, but the rain put an end to that preety damn quick.

I thikn it should be done around 11:00 – 11:15

The fishing is usually good during the rain, the lightning put an end to my trip today!
