    Anybody near here willing to pick me up a few seconds rods and ship them to SD? Any help would be appreciated!

    I didnt know they still sold seconds I thought the discontinued doing so a few years back

    They still do at the outlet. I picked up an Avid last fall in Park Falls. Sorry I cannot help out–blue moon doesn’t happen for several months.

    I would call the St.Croix HQ in Park Falls WI. Ask to speak to Dave Schlueter(sp) He should be able to help you out. GL!

    I called and emailed both ended with a no we won’t ship B stock rods, not sure if he was the guy I talked to or not, so I figured I might be able to find some decent help here on IDO

    I live close, but its still a 45 minutes drive over there… Do you know what models you are looking for so that if whoever becomes your purchaser, they can walk in and purchase??? Perhaps a pm if you want to let me know what you are interested in…

    Phillips and Park Falls are always bad for my pocket book. Elk River Rods in Phillips, and St Croix in Park Falls. Both stores have excellent seconds that are impossible to resist.

    I haven’t been to Park Falls lately but don’t they only discount the seconds/blems 20 or 25%? I don’t think it is worth it since they carry no warranty as far as I know. Usually in the spring you can get discounts at some of the fishing shows of 25% or more AND get the warranty on all the regular Croix’s and pick any model you want. Just my opinion.

    I think you get a warranty, but its very short!!! 90 days to a year, I am thinking, but not sure…

    Not sure if you got your rods you wanted already but I was just up thee. I picked up a few new b-stock avid extremes and they were 40% off and came with a three year warranty. Both rods I can not even find the blemish in them. Great deals IMO.
