I’ve fished Half Moon three times this year (folks have a cabin), and many times over the years. The one thing that I can tell you about this lake is that there are always lm bass to be found. We caught a good dozen 14-20″ over the 4th weekend. What I’ve been doing for years is to start at the southwest point of the lake, just north of “breezy bay”. On this map http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/water/fhp/lakes/lakemap/2621100a.htm you will see the start of a weedline marked with a “T”. Follow the T’s or upside down T’s in about 8-12′ of water all the way until you get to the first Tamarack. Start early morning between 6-7 and evening after 6. I usually cast towards shore with a topwater bait, like a purple worm. Otherwise, I use a spinner with a leech following it. They really seem to like the moving lures this time of year. Panfish will kill the bobber fishing.

Any more questions, I’d me more than happy to offer my input. Good luck.
