Fished Big Round on 7-2, the big bluegills 
are hitting like a freight train. 90% caught were males. The best presentation I found was a #6 gold hook and leech with a few split shots. Drifting over the weedbeds in 6-9 feet proved the best. I did try anchoring on the weed edges, the gills slowed but I picked-up a bonus walleye. Largemouths are aggressive also.
Going to try again next weekend and concentrate on the walleye.
