Went up to the Minong Flowage last Saturday because the wife had a few friends up there camping (not that I needed much prompting)…..so I dragged the boat along. Glad I did, Went out at 1PM slopping with scumfrogs on the North end of the lake for bass and they were hitting in the rice and pads. Around 5PM decided to do some trolling for eyes since it was overcast with a slight chop….tied on a few #5 shad raps in firetiger and firetiger and by 7:30 we had a limit. Was fishing in 10′-12′ of water just North of the County park fishing the flats and weedline along the north side of the campground. Sorry no pics. Weeded through alot of little 12″ers……..Oh yeah, on the way home there were lots of deer on Hwy. T so I slowed down…..just slow enough to hit me a one! 
Gotta love those GMC’s, only twisted the bumper and nothing was broke. Moral of the story…when your up you must come down.
